Information

Product Description

Finally. 100% Erythritol is a naturally inspired sugar alternative made with just one simple ingredient: erythritol.

Erythritol was first discovered in the 19th century and is found naturally in fruits such as pears, melons, and grapes, as well as in some fermented foods. Today, it’s typically made by fermenting glucose from non-GMO corn, a process that mirrors how it occurs in nature.

Belonging to a group of ingredients known as sugar alcohols, erythritol delivers around 70% of the sweetness of sugar, yet with virtually no calories and no effect on blood sugar levels*, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to reduce sugar intake without compromising on taste.

Naturally gluten-free, vegan, and keto-friendly, erythritol fits easily into a wide range of lifestyles and dietary needs. It’s also tooth-friendly, meaning it won’t contribute to tooth decay like regular sugar can.

With its light, clean sweetness and delicately crunchy texture, it’s perfect for everyday use from stirring into hot drinks and sprinkling over fruit, to baking and cooking where you want sweetness without the calories.

Enjoy the freedom of sweetness, naturally.

We’ve carefully chosen our packaging to be food-safe, sustainable, and kind to the environment, giving our customers the best possible options without compromise. Wherever we can, we avoid the use of plastic and prioritise eco-friendly materials that protect both your products and the planet.

Sustainability at heart: All our packaging is 100% recyclable.

Usage, Baking Tips and Storage

Sweetness Conversion: Pure erythritol is roughly 70% as sweet as regular sugar. To match the sweetness of standard sugar in your recipes, multiply the required amount by 1.3 (for example, use 130g of erythritol for every 100g of sugar).

The Cooling Sensation: You may notice a mild cooling effect on the palate when tasting erythritol. This is a natural physical property of the ingredient as it dissolves and is completely normal.

Solubility and Recrystallisation: Granulated erythritol dissolves best in warm liquids. For frostings, delicate glazes, or cold desserts, grind the granules into a fine powder in a blender first to prevent it from recrystallising and creating a gritty texture as it cools.

Digestive Tolerance: Erythritol is generally gentle on the stomach, but excessive consumption may cause a mild laxative effect in sensitive individuals.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container to prevent clumping from moisture. Keep out of reach of domestic pets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How sweet is Finally. 100% Erythritol compared to regular white sugar?

Pure erythritol is approximately 70% as sweet as table sugar. To achieve the same level of sweetness in drinks or recipes, you will need to use roughly 1.3 tablespoons of Finally. 100% Erythritol for every 1 tablespoon of sugar called for.

Why does pure erythritol produce a slight cooling sensation when consumed?

Erythritol has a natural endothermic reaction when it dissolves in moisture, such as on the tongue or in unheated liquids. This creates a mild, refreshing cooling effect similar to mint. While noticeable in unbaked treats, this sensation is significantly reduced when dissolved in hot beverages or baked into warm foods.

Is pure erythritol easy on digestion compared to other sugar alcohols?

Yes. Unlike options such as xylitol, sorbitol, or maltitol, around 90% of erythritol is absorbed into the bloodstream in the small intestine and excreted unchanged in urine before reaching the colon. This makes pure erythritol much gentler on the stomach, with a significantly lower risk of digestive discomfort or bloating.
A white 1kg stand-up pouch and a small glass jar of Finally brand "ERYTHRITOL Sugar Alternative" are displayed side by side on a sunlit wooden outdoor table. The jar rests on a folded grey cloth napkin. Both products feature an orange band with text reading "ERYTHRITOL", alongside key details like "0 GI. Sugar Free. Plant based." The background is softly blurred, showing bright, sunny green garden foliage.
