The Sweetest Gift: A Sugar-Free Christmas Gift Set for Every Keto Baker

Christmas is a season of baking. Mince pies, gingerbread, Christmas pudding and a tin of biscuits for when friends pop round. For anyone living low carb, though, December can feel like a month of saying "not for me, thanks". So this year, why not give the keto baker in your life the means to join in? Our Finally. Christmas Sweetener Gift Set brings together seven of our sugar alternatives in one pretty, ready-to-give bundle.

What's inside the gift set?

Seven 70g glass hexagon jars, arranged in a flower shape and tied with a ribbon. It is gift-ready, with no wrapping needed, so it is perfect as a stocking filler, a Secret Santa present or a thank you for the host.

Six of the jars are a 1:1 swap for the sugar they replace, so there is no maths in the kitchen. Erythritol is about 70% as sweet as sugar, so use a little more of that one:

Why it makes a thoughtful gift

  • Sugar-free and 100% plant-based: all seven are plant-based and made with erythritol, with no artificial additives.
  • Suitable for keto, vegan and low-carb diets: a gift that fits the way they already eat.
  • Something to try, not commit to: the 70g jars are a lovely way to discover which sweetener suits each bake before buying a full-size jar.
  • Kind to the planet: all our packaging is 100% recyclable.

If you would like to understand the sweeteners themselves, our plain English guide to sugar alcohols, stevia and monk fruit and our explainer on what "0 GI" really means are good places to start.

Baking tips for sugar-free success

Erythritol-based sweeteners behave a little differently to sugar, so a few tips go a long way:

  1. Bake by time, not colour. Erythritol doesn't brown in the same way as sugar, so your bakes may look paler. Follow the recipe's baking time.
  2. Dissolve in warmth. They dissolve best in warm or room-temperature liquids. In cold drinks or unheated icings they can leave a slight grittiness.
  3. Store well. Keep the jars in a cool, dry place with the lids tightly closed. If a jar clumps, give it a shake or break it up before measuring.

Good to know

These sweeteners contain polyols, and excessive consumption may produce laxative effects in sensitive people, so enjoy them in normal amounts. Please keep them away from pets. If you or the person you are buying for has diabetes or another health condition, a GP or registered dietitian can advise on how sweeteners fit into their diet.

FAQ

What is a good Christmas gift for someone on keto? Something they can use every day and share at Christmas. A sugar-free sweetener set lets keto bakers enjoy festive biscuits, puddings and hot drinks. The Finally. Christmas Sweetener Gift Set comes in seven hexagon jars tied with a ribbon, so it is ready to give.

Which sugar does each Finally. sweetener replace? Golden replaces golden caster sugar, Demerara replaces demerara, Soft Brown replaces light brown sugar, Dark Brown replaces dark brown sugar, and Monk Fruit or Stevia replace white sugar, each as a 1:1 swap. 100% Erythritol also replaces white sugar, but it is about 70% as sweet, so use a little more.

Are the sweeteners in the gift set sugar-free? Yes. All seven are sugar-free, plant-based and made with erythritol, and suitable for keto, vegan and low-carb diets.

Why do sugar-free bakes look paler? Erythritol doesn't brown in the same way as sugar, so bakes may look paler even when they are cooked. Go by the recipe's baking time rather than the colour.
